SMB College Group Win Entrepreneurship Award for Apprenticeships!

Delegates from SMB College Group attended the Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards Ceremony at King Power Stadium in Leicester on Friday night, scooping up a win for Promoting Apprenticeships!

 

This Promoting Apprenticeships award win serves to recognise the excellent work that the college has undertaken in working with local and national businesses to offer apprenticeships, and train and up-skill their employees - building sustainable, ambitious workforces that are well-equipped for the future.

The college were also finalists in the for Enterprise of the Year category, where they were up against some other fantastic businesses from across the Leicestershire region.

Dawn Whitemore, Principal and CEO of SMB College Group, was one of the delegates in attendance at the ceremony to represent the college. She said

‘We are incredibly proud to win this Promoting Apprenticeships award, which serves to recognise the fantastic work that our teaching and business staff do across the college to build meaningful, long-lasting partnerships with local and national employers.  

‘This award is also a credit to our apprentices and alumni, who have gone on to achieve some amazing things in their careers with Leicester Tigers, Redrow Homes, Barratt Homes, and many of the college’s other partner organisations, in addition to some forging their own paths and creating businesses of their own.’

This award comes in the wake of last month’s hugely successful LOVE Business Expo, at which the college sponsored the VIP room and hosted the MINDSET Sports village alongside their long-time partner, Leicester Tigers – with the aim of demonstrating the power of the elite sporting mindset when applied to business.
