THRIVING DERBYSHIRE DESSERT BUSINESS GROWS TEAM AND UK BASE

Derbyshire-based luxury dessert franchise, Heavenly Desserts, has made three key appointments to its team to secure the brand’s impeccable standards as it expands into international markets.

Currently made up of 42 stores across the UK, the company has confirmed it will be launching the brand in Canada next month.

Following her outstanding performance as restaurant manager in Southampton, Martha Prudence, joins the Heavenly Desserts head office as the new store openings (NSO) trainer. Martha will oversee the implementation of Heavenly Desserts’ core brand values with the launch of each new store, training teams on brand standards throughout the customer journey from arrival, to plate, to bill.

Martha said:

“Ever since experiencing my own store opening in Southampton I was inspired by the excellent standard of the Heavenly Desserts franchise. Moving into the central team is a natural step in my career journey and I am proud to be part of the NSO team. I look forward to sharing my knowledge on how to give every customer a high-quality, fine dining experience in every new store that we launch.”

Louise Wilkinson, brand excellence auditor, draws on more than 20 years’ experience in the casual dining sector, including her work for Hickory’s Smoke BBQ and Marston’s PLC. Louise is responsible for supporting franchisees and restaurants in all aspects of store operations, to ensure the Heavenly Desserts brand measures up to the company’s values of ‘perfection every time’ and ‘operational excellence’.

Louise said:

“Heavenly Desserts is an innovator and trendsetter in the world of luxury desserts and with international expansion to Canada, the USA and Middle East in the offing, it felt like such an exciting time to join the team and support the next steps. I feel honoured to be overseeing the maintenance of our high-quality standards throughout the entire franchise estate as the brand grows.”

Warren Smith, area manager for the North and Scotland, brings previous experience as an area manager, along with his former role as a cluster manager for Farmhouse Inns - a Greene King offshoot where Warren managed 72 members of staff.

Warren will be responsible for supporting franchisees and general managers on site to develop the brand's store offering in the North, raising awareness of best practice operations and ensuring compliance is adhered to. Warren will oversee the series of new store openings in Glasgow taking place over the next few months.

Warren said:

“Since joining Heavenly Desserts, I have been so impressed with Yousif and Imran’s approach – they value everyone’s contribution to the direction of the brand and it’s a really refreshing atmosphere to work in. I look forward to bringing my shared passion for the brand to my role to motivate my team and make my mark on Heavenly Desserts’ growing base in the North.”

Yousif Aslam, co-founder and managing director at Heavenly Desserts, said:

“We are delighted to be expanding our team at such a pivotal time for the company. With new innovative product launches happening all the time and the brand expanding internationally, we’re seeing incredibly exciting growth.

“As we move at pace, it is crucial that we uphold the fantastic standard of Heavenly Desserts – be that in new stores both nationally and worldwide, or our existing store base – and we look forward to having Martha, Louise and Warren oversee this in each of their respective roles. I’m very pleased to have them on board to assist our continued growth, not only in terms of the business but in the scope and career progression of our team.”
