Intoware Welcomes A New Graduate Software Engineer

Intoware, the Nottingham based digital workflow leader, welcomes a new software engineer with the appointment of Eleanor Miles to its team.

In her new role Eleanor will be part of Intoware’s core operations team, where she will help to build and deliver new product features for its digital work-instruction ‘tool’ WorkfloPlus, designed to empower the frontline workforce.

Eleanor Miles joins Intoware from Specsavers where she was a financial analyst, as part of the company’s contracted services team, where she was responsible for analysing large amounts of data. This role required her to search for data discrepancies and to find solutions by liaising with different teams both internally and externally, all skills that transfer well to a career in software engineering.

During the lockdown Eleanor was furloughed, so she started to learn coding, she quickly found she had a talent for it since it required analytical skills, but with more of a creative edge. She decided to take her interest to the next level by completing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science with the University of Nottingham, giving her the skills, she needed to change career.

Intoware’s CEO, Keith Tilley comments:

“We are delighted to welcome Eleanor to our team of software engineers. Our approach at Intoware is to become an extension of our clients’ team, helping them to meet the challenge of how to better streamline industrial processes, by replacing them with digital workflows that allow ‘real-time’ reporting, for smarter, connected working.

“These are exciting times for Intoware, with clients in the utility, rail transport, oil and manufacturing industries all focusing on how to either begin or extend their digital strategies, as the pandemic has spotlighted the value of connected technology. We help enterprises not only to digitise, but to make use of the analytics it provides so they can make better, data informed decisions to improve productivity and performance.”

Eleanor now lives in Castle Marina, she took the decision to live locally in 2018 after gaining her first degree, an MSci (Hons) in Biology, with the University of Nottingham.
