Leading property consultancy makes key Ashby appointment

A leading property consultancy has made a key appointment at its Ashby office as the firm expands its expertise in minerals.

Fisher German has welcomed Tom Giddings as an Associate Director in the firm’s minerals team in the rural property management department.

Tom joins the firm from multinational cement company CEMEX where he worked as the geology and land search manager in the UK aggregates business and also managed geological support for the quarry operations in Spain.

He joined CEMEX as a graduate geologist, so brings almost 20 years of quarrying industry experience to Fisher German.

Tom said:

“Fisher German is an innovative and agile business so is clearly a very positive place to work.

“My role will involve similar work to that I have done previously, including quarry designs, mineral reserve assessments, land searches, and mineral options and leases.

“I’ll be working with a broad portfolio of clients from large multinational companies to smaller operators as well as estates, landowners and farmers.

“I’m really looking forward to supporting the growth of this area of the business.”

David Merton, Divisional Managing Partner of rural property management and consultancy at Fisher German, said:

“We are pleased to welcome Tom to the rural property management and consultancy division at Fisher German.

“Our in-house expertise for geology and mineral property issues is second to none, and we are excited to expand this team to meet the growing demand for this niche knowledge area in the portfolios we manage.

“We have no doubt that our clients will value the insights Tom can bring from his 20 years of quarrying industry experience.”
