National awards success for Koa Consulting

A Derby-based business development consultancy which helps business owners to increase their sales, win more customers and grow is celebrating after scooping a prestigious national award.

Koa Consulting has been named as the Best Business Development Consultancy Firm in the East Midlands Region, in the SME News UK Enterprise Awards.

The firm was founded by business development specialist Jade Brindley, in 2017, after more than a decade of experience with organisations including East Midlands Chamber and New College Nottingham. It helps SMEs across the East Midlands to achieve growth by improving their processes, sales and marketing and customer service, through better business planning and strategy.

The latest award win follows hot on the heels of Koa Consulting receiving a prestigious Small Business Sunday accolade from entrepreneur and former star of TV’s Dragons’ Den, Theo Paphitis.

Jade said: “This award marks five years of hard work and commitment to build Koa Consulting into the business it is today.

“We work with so many great clients across the region to help them achieve their business goals so it’s great to receive this award to mark our efforts and success.”

The awards, which are now in their fifth year, aim to showcase and reward small businesses across the country, in a wide range of sectors, for the valuable contribution they make to the UK economy.

With thousands of companies across the UK applying to judged, scored and interviewed, the level of competition for the numerous award categories this year was more challenging than ever.

Jessica Wilson, SME News’ Director of Award Coordination, said: “We would not have forecast the business landscape of today 18 months ago, and there hasn’t been a business we’ve judged who hasn’t had challenges, whether it be working remotely, losing clients or growth outstripping capacity.

“Despite this, one thing has remained clear from everyone company we have spoken to. The tenacity to continue to progress, the resilience to manage change, and the agility to evolve are embedded within the nation’s entrepreneurial spirit.”
