CONNECT DERBY APPOINTS NEW FINANCE MANAGER

Connect Derby, the city’s leading managed workspace provider, has appointed Talvindar Shanker as finance manager.

 

Talvindarjoins the Connect Derby team from The University of Derby where she worked in the finance department for two years.

Prior to that she spent more than 17 years at Derby College. She started her career in the student records department at the College’s former Wilmorton campus and went on to gain a broad range of experience, including four years in a finance role.

In her new role as finance manager at Connect Derby,Talvindar will be responsible for budgeting, rent rolls, processing purchase invoices and invoicing tenants across the Connect Derby portfolio - from new builds at Friar Gate Studios, Sadler Bridge Studios and the iHub innovation centre on Infinity Park, to restored and refurbished buildings atMarble Hall, Riverside Chambers, Shot Tower and Kings Chambers.

Commenting on her appointment, Ann Bhatti, head of Connect Derby, said:

“The managed workspace sector is quite a diversion from my previous role in the education sector, but I am really enjoying this new challenge.My new role is very varied, and I am using the skills developed over the past two decades to bring new ideas to the team.”
