Loughborough Finance for Sport Partners with junior cycling team, Tofauti Everyone Active

Loughborough Finance for Sport (LFS) are excited to be partnering with Tofauti Everyone Active, a junior cycling team like no other. Empowering junior riders, aged 16-18, to take control of their cycling development through unrivalled support & teamwork.

Helping their riders develop resilience, determination & racing success. Working across a wide range of sports, LFS understand the various sporting & lifestyle challenges often faced when transitioning from junior to senior level competition. Although cycling benefits from a ‘transitional’ under-23 age group, a lot of these challenges are still relative & the team’s work in developing the riders therefore really resonated with LFS when first discussing the partnership with their management.

The team’s ethos & story, together with the incredible work that the Tofauti Foundation does in Africa made the partnership a perfect fit for LFS. Stu Spencer, Head of Sports Advisory & Associate Director at LFS’s parent firm Charnwood Accounts, said: “As our firm has grown, & in particular the number of sports professionals we are advising from a relatively young age, we have developed several services focused on the key financial issues & challenges these young adults begin to face. The team’s ethos fits perfectly with this & partnering with them for 2021 was therefore any easy decision!”

With 6 current or former national champions in the teams, 8 junior women & 7 junior men, the 2021 season looks exciting with the race calendar including several UCI races UK & Europe (the highest level of junior cycling).

With the 2020 season being almost entirely cancelled, the team launched their own phenomenally successful Lockdown Race Series, with top junior riders from the UK & across Europe taking part. The 2021 race calendar is therefore being looked at with particular enthusiasm as the team look to impress across a range of cycling disciplines.

That calendar is yet to be finalised, but races confirmed include the Loughborough National & one of the most prestigious races on the domestic calendar – the CiCLE Classic in Melton Mowbray.

Ian Mansel-Thomas, Team Principal, said

“We’re thrilled to be working with Loughborough Finance for Sport as we move into an exciting 2021 for the team. It’s great to have a specialist Sports Industry advisor working alongside us, particularly one headed up by someone as passionate and well connected as Stu Spencer. With the national junior race series visiting Loughborough and Rutland three times in 2021, we’re looking forward to Stu’s vocal support at some big races.”

Stu Spencer said:

“The team’s race calendar is taking shape & we plan on supporting the team at races across the country. We are super excited about the local races in particular & hope that our partnership helps give the team some ‘home advantage’ in those!”

As well as financial & race support, LFS will be working with the team’s management to provide complimentary services to the work they do in developing the riders as they progress through the age-groups into the senior ranks.

Working with Loughborough Finance for Sport, & the other confirmed Partner’s, Tofauti Everyone Active look set for a fantastic 2021 season.
