Online Mortgage Advisor to Celebrate the Best in the Industry

Online Mortgage Advisor will celebrate the best brokers and lenders in the industry at its annual Charity Awards on Friday 31st January 2020 at Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

Each award aims to recognise all of the hard work put in by advisors in Online Mortgage Advisor’s invite-only network to make sure that customers get the right advice, every time.

Not only will the event determine the top brokers and lenders in the mortgage sector, but it will also raise lots of money for two worthy causes through a silent auction and raffle: Mercy Hands Uganda UK, a community-based charity, and Lee Welland, a personal friend of OMA’s Managing Director, Pete Mugleston, who is battling cancer.

Last year, the first annual awards raised over £7,500 for Mercy Hands Uganda UK, enabling it to maintain a primary school for up to 100 children from impoverished communities.

It also recognised the best mortgage brokers and lenders from within Online Mortgage Advisor’s network of advisors. This year, the mortgage broker matching service will anew the awards below, based on the following criteria:

Customer Feedback Champion: Best score & most reviews
Support Team Choice: As picked by the OMA Support Team
Best New Company: Most business for firms starting 2019
Best New Broker: Most business for brokers starting 2019
Best Overall Company: Most business for any firm
Best Overall Broker: Most business for any broker
Best Specialist Lender: Most business by specialist lender

Last year, Aaron Forster, a Mortgage and Protection Adviser at Create Finance, was lucky enough to take home the coveted Best Overall Broker title, as well as bagging the Safe Hands prize for the most KPIs hit by a broker.

He is delighted to have been shortlisted for the same awards again, along with four other prizes. Aaron says:

The awards ceremony is quickly becoming a key event in the mortgage industry social calendar, as it also offers a fantastic opportunity to network amongst the best in the business.

To ring in 2020 with a bang, this year’s Charity Awards has a Great Gatsby theme, complete with a casino and magician.
