Stunning stained-glass window created by Frame Fast to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War

A STUNNING stained glass window depicting a lone soldier walking home from battle has been produced by Derby business, Frame Fast (UK).

The unique piece of art, created to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, was made by staff at the Ascot Drive’s production facility.

And now the stained glass window has been displayed at Frame Fast, to pay tribute and remember the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives during the First World War.

Dressed in green camouflage clothing, and carrying a backpack, the soldier can be seen walking away from war. Tucked in his bag, is a Union Flag, wafting in the wind.

Nigel Leivers, director at award-winning Frame Fast, said:

“We are so proud of the stained glass window we manufactured, we have displayed it at our Ascot Drive site.

“It is a truly lovely piece of art and has been perfectly crafted to pay tribute to the people who lost their lives during the First World War.

“At this time of the year, we feel it is fitting to remember our British history.”

Frame Fast (UK) Ltd, is the region’s largest trade fabricator of PVCu doors, windows and conservatories. Earlier this year, it celebrated a double win at the East Midlands Chamber Derbyshire Business Awards 2018.

The Derby business was crowned Manufacturer of the Year for a second year in a row.
