East Midlands based ‘Ask the Chameleon’ is selected as one of the UKs top 100 small businesses

Rachel Hayward, owner of Ask the Chameleon Ltd has been selected to be a part of the Small Business 100, part of the national Small Business Saturday campaign.

Rachel, who writes bids, tenders, grant applications and business awards for local ambitious companies was selected due to her commitment to supporting a wide range of East Midlands companies - ranging from small businesses, charities and larger organisations, Rachel has a passion to support entrepreneurs and fresh thinkers of the future.

The purpose of Small Business 100 campaign is to raise awareness and the profile of smaller businesses across the UK, highlighting one business per day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday on the 1st December.

Rachel intends to use her day (25 November 2018) to showcase companies and people who are not a “typical” entrepreneur in the East Midlands, but those she has identified who work with innovation at the heart of their business. Rachel will be developing a series of Podcasts talking to and exploring approaches to innovation with special guests from her network.

“Small Business 100 enables us to show the diversity and contribution so many small business owners make on a daily basis – in ways that we have never thought of before” says Rachel. “I have been lucky to have had the support of a number of people and this is my opportunity to help others, using the Small Business campaign to raise awareness, encourage people to buy locally and support small businesses in the East Midlands. I am very excited to be part of this campaign”

Small Business Saturday is the UK’s most successful small business campaign and is in its 6th year. Last year it saw £748m spent with small businesses across the UK on Small Business Saturday, up 4% on the previous year. The campaign trended at number one in the UK on Twitter on the day with more than 115,000 campaign-related tweets being sent, reaching over 115 million people globally.

The campaign also benefits from the backing of the Prime Minister, Mayor of London and leading business organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses, Enterprise Nation and American Express.  To find out more about Small Business 100, Small Business Saturday UK and how to get involved, please visit the Small Business Saturday website or contact Rachel directly by email.
