Morley Hayes voted East Midlands Wedding Venue of the Year for the third successive year

Derbyshire hotel, golf, and leisure complex Morley Hayes has been named East Midlands Wedding Venue of the Year at the I Do Wedding Awards for the third successive year.

The venue on Main Road in Morley beat off competition from high profile venues across the region to win the coveted award, which was presented at an awards ceremony at Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.

Now in their seventh year, the I Do Magazine Wedding Awards celebrate success and recognise the achievements of wedding suppliers from across the Midlands, Yorkshire, and Humberside.

The Best Venue award recognises establishments with outstanding wedding venues that offer an exceptional wedding experience and put customer satisfaction at the heart of everything they do.

Dubbed the ‘People’s Awards’, they are decided entirely by the votes of the couples who have personally used their services.

Morley Hayes has been performing wedding ceremonies since 2006. In 2012 the venue was granted a license to perform outdoor weddings in a specially constructed wedding dome, situated in the picturesque Morley Hayes gardens.

In 2017, the venue launched its woodland wedding service, which gives couples the chance to take their vows amongst wildflowers and beneath spectacular towering pines, horse chestnut and beech trees.

Woodland wedding ceremonies take place in a private lodge, situated in a secluded part of the Morley Hayes woodlands.

2019 saw the launch of The Meadow at Morley Hayes - a secluded, magical natural wildflower meadow, where couples can celebrate their wedding amongst trees and wildflowers, with stunning views across the Derbyshire countryside. To make the wedding unique, the bridal party are transported to the wildflower meadow by tractor and trailer.

Speaking of being crowned East Midlands Wedding Venue of the Year for the third successive year, Andrew Allsop, managing director of Morley Hayes, said:

“We’re really thrilled to have retained our title of Wedding Venue of the Year, especially as it is voted for by the couples themselves rather than a panel of judges.

“Whether it’s a wedding reception, a full civil wedding or civil partnership ceremony, our dedicated team of wedding co-ordinators work hard to create a wedding package that is just as individual as our guests, and we are proud to see their efforts recognised in this way.”

Launched in 2009, I Do Magazine is read by more than 30,000 couples every year and is widely considered the definitive guide for sourcing the best local wedding suppliers in Yorkshire, Humberside, and the Midlands.

An I Do Wedding Award is a mark of a great supplier. When a couple see an I Do finalist or winners logo, they know they are about to work with a wedding supplier who has been highly recommended by other brides and grooms and will receive a quality service.

Set amongst 300 acres of beautiful woodland and parkland golf course in the Derbyshire countryside, Morley Hayes is perfect for everything from a large family wedding to a small intimate ceremony. It has a selection of stylish country-inspired suites, fully licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies.

It offers a complete package for weddings, golf and leisure breaks, conferences, and functions. Facilities include a luxury four star, 32-bedroom hotel and a choice of three restaurants, including the award-winning two AA rosette Dovecote restaurant, Roosters and Spike Bar.

Golf facilities include a championship length 18-hole Manor course, 9-hole Tower course, a 26 bay, all weather floodlit driving range, golf pavilion and a highly respected Golf Academy.
