Leicestershire distillery is "tickled pink" with its latest launch

Leicestershire distillery, Burleighs Gin, has introduced a new flavour to its range of artisan gins, perfect for sipping in the spring and summer sun.

The Raspberry Edition Gin is the distillery’s first flavoured gin, a new departure for the Nanpantan-based business.

Produced by steeping Burleighs award-winning signature gin recipe in raspberries and peaches - the blush-coloured drink is a fresh and fruity yet delicate gin which is delicious on its own with a tonic, or as a base for cocktails.

Created by head distiller Charlie Hendon on her copper still Messy Bessy, the latest launch is available now through the distillery’s website.

Charlie said:

“With barbeques and warm alfresco evenings just around the corner, what better time to launch our most refreshing and fruity gin yet.

“The combination of the raspberries and peaches with the signature Burleighs recipe, creates a long and smooth gin, where the flavours bounce off each other and are distinctive, yet the drink is fresh and light - an important quality for gin lovers in the summer.”

The new gin expands Burleighs’ core range to eight bottles and offers gin fans on-trend flavours and a vibrant colour.

The new addition follows a series of recent launches which includes the National Forest Gin, launched as a partnership with the forestry organisation providing a donation from every bottle sold to the National Forest itself, as well as the delicately mixed ready-to-drink gin and tonics.

Sam Watson, commercial director, added: “We’re extremely excited to add this delicious and authentic pink gin to Burleighs’ core range.

“We hope Burleighs’ lovers will agree the new drink still has the classic and elevated taste we’ve built our reputation on, but with added freshness and a subtle sweetness that’s summer-friendly, lending itself to a range of drinks and cocktails. It's one of our most versatile bottles yet.

“Whilst we have our delicious Pink Edition Gin in the range, which is inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms during Hanami, the new Raspberry Edition Gin has a very different flavour and look.”

For the perfect serve Burleighs recommends accompanying 50ml of Raspberry Edition Gin with premium tonic, plenty of ice, fresh or frozen raspberries and a spring of mint.

The Burleighs Raspberry Edition Gin (37.5% ABV in 70cl bottle) is now available for £32.50 plus delivery and can be purchased via the official Burleighs Gin website.
