Love Business set for roaring return

Love Business set for roaring return

With less than four weeks to go until this year’s Love Business Expo, its partners and supporters met recently to make sure the 2022 event comes back with a roar.

The annual expo, which takes place at the Holywell Park Conference Centre, on 17 February, is back after its lockdown-enforced absence in 2021 and is set to be bigger and better than ever.

With an action-packed line-up of speakers, hundreds of delegates and thousands of visitors expected through the doors on the day – along with a few surprises – there’s something for everyone.

To mark its return, the theme of this year’s event will be based on the iconic ‘Roaring Twenties’, a period of history which saw the UK economy bounce back to prosperity following the devastation of World War One.

It was a decadent time. After a couple of austere years following the conflict, post-war confidence and spending power returned. Jazz clubs and cocktail bars flourished, a sense of renewed optimism spread across the country and businesses started to boom.

To capture an authentic ‘Roaring Twenties’ feel, performers from Love Business partner Fancy Entertainment will be donning their best Charleston gear to set the scene and provide an interactive, immersive experience for guests to enjoy on the day, with a few mystery activities along the way.

On the speaker front, there will be informative sessions from event partners Your IT Department, the Midlands Engine Investment Fund and the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre, while North West Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen will give an insider’s view from the Houses of Parliament.

This year’s ‘Question Time’ will see a panel of prominent regional business and political leaders dissect the big business and economic issues of the day, and what they mean for the Heart of the Midlands.

And if networking’s your thing, there will be plenty of opportunities to mingle in the VIP area sponsored by Mocha Communicates, the KuKu Connect reception and the FSB Café Networking zone.

East Midlands Chamber is once again the event’s headline sponsor and is joined by a wide range of local organisations in supporting the event, including Lexus, Hardy Signs, Accent Commercial Resources, DPi and the IoD. Me & Dee and Help the Homeless Leicester are among the event’s charity partners for 2022.

This year marks the ten-year anniversary of the inaugural Love Business event, which has grown into the biggest and best annual showcase of business success across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Over the years, the event has had a hugely positive impact on the economy and the community across the region, providing an excellent platform for local businesses to showcase their products and services, share their good news and make vital new connections.

Steve Megson, Managing Director of Love Business founder Quiet Storm Solutions, said:

“We’re delighted to be roaring back in 2022 for what’s set to be the biggest and best Love Business Expo yet!

“It’s been a tough two years for many businesses and individuals. The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live in so many ways, but with things now starting to get back to normal, now’s the time to look to the future and the opportunities that lie ahead.

“The parallels between the 1920s and the present day are uncanny. The economy came roaring back after a period of global devastation, as people emerged with a new-found independence, attitude and confidence.

“There’s absolutely no reason why the same thing can’t happen now, with businesses using the lessons learned over the past two years as a springboard to better things.

“2022 can be the start of the new Roaring Twenties, and this year’s Love Business is all about celebrating that in style, creating a feel-good atmosphere and giving businesses and attendees the platform to shout about everything they do. As they said in the 1920s, be there or be square!”
