Air IT launches new telephone system for Microsoft Teams

Managed IT and communications provider Air IT has announced the launch of its new cloud-based unified communications solution, Teams Talk for Microsoft Teams.

During lockdown, companies quickly turned to cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams to connect workers and enable more efficient remote working.

However, when businesses had to adapt to remote working overnight, many experienced the shortcomings of their traditional on-premise telephony systems which left them unable to make outbound calls or receive incoming enquiries.

Although Microsoft already provides its own solution for external calling within Microsoft Teams, many businesses have chosen to keep their telephony separate due to its limited feature-set and basic phone system functionality. Being backed by Air IT’s VoIP telephony service, Teams Talk, provides the same capabilities as a traditional phone system including PCI compliant call recording and reporting.

With hybrid solutions for office based and remote workers, plus no on-site infrastructure required, it can also help businesses lower costs and simplify operations.
