Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Four perspectives, One Vision

Four perspectives, One Vision

There’s something unique about the challenges faced by charities and other not for profit organisations.

For Directors, Trustees and Senior Management, the demands of sustaining income, complying with increasing regulation and the often complex needs of service users, while at the same time managing strategy, governance, risk, change, people and operations means life is far from simple.

Recognising the need to provide joined up help and guidance across such a wide range of subject areas, a new company has been formed called In The Round (ITR Advisors Ltd). Created by Elliot Harris of Strategy & Governance, Ian Crocombe of iandi Business Solutions, Sue Thorn of Sue Thorn Consulting and Rachel Hayward of Ask the Chameleon, the business vision is to support not just the here and now challenges, but also the requirements to future proof Third Sector organisations.

Elliot said,

“In the Round offers a unique proposition to Third Sector organisations who do not know how to maximise their resources, contacts and funding to create strong foundations for the future. They face some significant challenges that I and my business partners can help them to tackle, providing practical advice and steps to succeed”.

Rachel said,

“We each have a unique combination of skills and experience from across business and charities plus a real passion for making a difference – we are really excited by this opportunity and looking forward to working with some ambitious forward thinking charities and social enterprises”.

Ian said,

“With over 28 years leadership experience spent across organisational change, continuous improvement and people development, the single most important lesson I’ve learned is to think ‘in the round’. Delivering great change means ensuring all angles are covered preventing, as far as is possible, things not going to plan or not working as they should. It’s exciting to be able to help charities and other not for profit organisations improve their performance, experience and engagement by combining our different but complementary skill sets, delivering real, practical joined up support”.

Sue said,

“My experience as a CEO of a bioscience membership association and then ten years as an advisor to them has given me a deep understanding ‘in the round’ of issues affecting such charities, ranging from strategy and governance, through to membership, events and journal publishing issues.”
