Charles Bentley & Son Get to Grips with Gripit & Marxman

Award-winning UK manufacturer Charles Bentley & Son Ltd has obtained the European license to manufacture and distribute Gripit the ultimate plasterboard fixing as well as the Marxman, professional marking tool, both backed by Dragon’s Den entrepreneur, Deborah Meaden.

The Midlands-based brushware and homeware specialist has a manufacturing plant in both the UK and China, and now adds both Gripit and Marxman to its existing portfolio of DIY and homeware products.

Gripit, which appeared on Dragon’s Den in 2014, is already available in 5,000 stores in the UK and 32 countries worldwide, Charles Bentley & Son will use its substantial experience and networks in the sector to further increase its reach and sales.

Marxman is a perfect partner product and is an established product across Europe.

A sixth-generation family business, operating for nearly 160 years, Charles Bentley & Son has a wide range of customers serving both the homeware and DIY markets.  It is planned to commence distribution of Gripit and Marxman products from mid-December.

Earlier this year, UK Building Products limited, who own the Gripit brand, underwent a re-structure, and as part of the company’s future, awarded the Gripit licence to Charles Bentley & Son.
