TV FLOWER EXPERT JONATHAN MOSELEY HOSTS SPECIAL FLOWER DEMONSTRATION AT MORLEY HAYES

Jonathan Moseley, one of the nation’s best loved TV flower experts, played host to an audience of floristry and horticulture enthusiasts at an exclusive flower demonstration at Morley Hayes, Derbyshire’s leading hotel, golf and leisure complex.

Guests enjoyed a glass of prosecco before Jonathan’s hour and a half-hour demonstration, which featured nine stunning flower arrangements exhibiting a range of colours, scents and blooms.

The arrangements were inspired by the flowers and plants that Jonathan has become familiar with on his worldwide travels, as well as the designs he has created whilst collaborating with other artists.

The demonstration, which was designed to inspire guests to get creative with flowers in their own home, showcased simple but stunning vase bouquets, as well as large and impressive table arrangements.

Jonathan, who teaches Floristry and Floral Art and Design at his Flower School in Derbyshire, shared his top tips for growing and arranging a variety of flowers and plants and getting rid of pesky pests in the warmer months. He also gave lots of advice to individual guests who required his expertise.

After the lively demonstration, guests were able to purchase items from Jonathan’s pop-up shop, before enjoying a traditional afternoon tea with a selection of finger sandwiches, homemade cakes, and scones in Morley Hayes’ Sacheverell and de Ferrers suites.

Jonathan, a national demonstrator who often appears on BBC 2 programmes such as The Big Allotment Challenge, is known for his humorous and friendly approach, which delighted the audience.

“I always enjoy hosting demonstrations and workshops at Morley Hayes and try to bring something new to each demonstration and workshop I create – this time the focus was on beautiful summer flowers and arrangements that can be created for the home.

“It was wonderful to be able to speak to a small, intimate audience using some of summer’s prettiest flowers and plants. The guests were really enthusiastic and a delight to talk to both during and after the event. 

“I’ve received fantastic feedback already and am really looking forward to coming back to Morley Hayes to deliver a special Christmas Flower Demonstration on 7 December.”
