A hat trick of hat tricks! 9 Ofsted Outstandings in a row – unbelievable!

Children 1st Day Nurseries have continued to prove that they are the best at doing what they do – providing care and inspiration for children from 6 weeks to 12 years in their family run childcare company - by achieving an unbeatable run of 9 Ofsted ‘Outstanding in All Areas’ in a row. This brings the total number of nurseries in the group with this prestigious rating to 11 or 73%, a massive 60% more than the average for similar childcare providers. These Outstanding nurseries are spread across the East Midlands, from Chesterfield to Leicester and Grantham to Shepshed.

The most recent settings to achieve the rating are Acorns and Meir Park nurseries in Stoke-on-Trent, both of which have lately undergone complete refurbishments. When reporting on Acorns, Ofsted quoted, “Children flourish in the setting as they progress very strongly in all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Enthusiastic practitioners enjoy the role they play in each child's progress.” Of Meir Park, Ofsted had this to say, “Children flourish and make excellent progress in their learning and development in an exciting and stimulating environment. (The staff) provide an exemplary range of activities and resources that excite and engage the children in learning across all areas.”
