Nottingham financial advisers boost growth with new appointment

George Square Financial Management is continuing its year of sustained growth with the appointment of a new adviser to its expanding team in Nottingham city centre.

The firm, which provides independent financial planning solutions and mortgage advice to private individuals and businesses, has recruited Mortgage & Protection Adviser, Rebecca Smith, who will be based at its office on George Street.

Rebecca is George Square’s fifth hire of 2019, made in support of the firm’s ongoing growth and development plans, bringing the number of employees up to 17 in total.

Fully CeMAP qualified, Rebecca, who has nine years’ experience in the mortgage industry, says she is looking forward to utilising her expertise in the increasingly diverse mortgage market in her new role:

“With the specialist market getting bigger every day, we’re seeing more and more people being able to secure mortgages at very reasonable rates, despite initially believing they would never be able to own a property,” she explains.

“I’m looking forward to working with clients to make their financial affairs as simple and pain free as possible. As Mortgage & Protection Adviser, I hope to become a key member of the team at George Square, and that my expertise in specialist mortgages, such as self-employed, buy to let, and adverse credit, will really benefit clients.”

Managing Director of George Square Financial Management, George Goward, adds:

“Rebecca’s appointment reflects a substantial increase in demand for mortgage advice. Her extensive knowledge of specialist mortgage policy and practice will help add value to our mortgage advice service offering.

“At George Square, we have access to the whole of the mortgage market, meaning our advisers can source the most suitable deals for clients without being restricted to certain mortgage lenders. We are delighted to welcome Rebecca to the George Square team and to continue this period of significant growth for the firm.”
