Baytree makes dream come true for TV star's dad

Former Emmerdale star and Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin Fletcher teamed up with Derby-based Baytree Cars to gift his dad a £160,000 Bentley for his 60th birthday.

And Kelvin shared the moment his dad Warren burst into tears as he received the present of a lifetime.

Alongside the photo on Instagram, Kelvin said 'We know how much you’ve always dreamed of this car' and explained how his dad believed the car was just on loan.

And he added: "A special thank you to Baytree Cars who helped to make this happen. The best service I’ve ever experienced. #LifeBeginsAt60 #AsSoonAsThePubsOpen."

Kelvin was sold the Bentley by Baytree sales executive Max Pinchbeck, who said: "I was thrilled the way the surprise worked out. Kelvin was in touch with us several weeks ago but wanted the timings of handing over the car to be perfect for his dad’s 60th.

"Obviously, we had to maintain all of the social distancing requirements and it all went off perfectly."

One Instagram photo showed tears in Warren’s eyes while he also posed in front of his amazing gift.

Kelvin said: "They say a picture says a thousand words. Happy 60th Dad. My hero, my friend and my Dad. You’re the kindest soul I know and you’ll put anyone before yourself.

"We know how much you’ve always dreamed of this car so to see your face yesterday made my heart burst with pride and happiness. You deserve it and we are so lucky to have you."

The last time Warren was seen breaking down in tears publicly was when his son won Strictly in 2019. The actor is a supercar fan and has taken part in a motor racing championship against Formula One driver Jenson Button.
