DSP (INTERIORS) COMMISSIONED TO DELIVER NEW HEADQUARTERS FOR GLOBAL TELECOMS GIANT AT SILVERSTONE PARK IN NORTHAMPTON

Derby-based design, refurbishment, and fit-out specialists DSP (Interiors) Ltd have been appointed principal designers and contractors on the project to create a new headquarters for global telecoms giant Livewire Telecom Ltd at Silverstone Park in Northampton.

Livewire Telecom, global leader in the distribution of mobile broadband devices, mobile handsets and home routers, is relocating from its current base at Silverstone Park to a new high-profile headquarters on the Park.

The new unit has been built by developer MEPC as part of the expansion of the Technology Business Park.

Livewire Telecom Ltd was established in 1999 and ships around 400,000 units per annum from its UK base to more than 37 countries worldwide. The company is recognised by all the major manufacturers, including Nokia, Huawei, Xiaomi and realme.

Due to continued year-on-year growth, Livewire Telecom, and its online business efones.com needed additional space for workshops, offices, meeting rooms, storage, and packing.

The team at DSP Interiors has been working closely with Richard Gallant, managing director of Livewire Telecom to bring forward plans to transform the 12,000 ft2 unit into a bespoke workplace that will provide a stunning working environment for staff and will be able to cope with the company’s future expansion.

The project will also include the installation of glass office partitions and glass doors, glazed fire screens and solid office partition systems, along with suspended office ceilings and drop down ceilings with bespoke feature pendant lighting and the specification and installation of artwork and shelving and racking.

The fit-out project for Livewire Telecom is the latest in a series of successful projects carried out by DSP (Interiors) on Silverstone Park, including the award-winning design and fit-out for KTM Sportmotorcycles UK Ltd.

Speaking about the project, Andy Priestley, director of DSP (Interiors), said:

“We are really excited to be working with Livewire Telecom on their new headquarters at Silverstone Park.

“Speculative commercial units provide a great deal of flexibility and are an ideal ‘blank-canvas’, which enables us to tailor workplaces to a client’s precise requirements. They can also be complex and involve a myriad of trades and a considerable amount of input - from our team of designers, engineers to project managers and fitters.

“We’ve carried out in-depth design and planning of the fit-out to make sure we can deliver the completed unit to Livewire in the fastest time to ensure operations can get up as running as soon as possible.”

Richard Gallant, managing director of Livewire Telecom, has been delighted with the progress on the project so far:

“Andy and the team have been nothing short of excellent in the process of us progressing from our initial interest in the unit through to the point of delivery we are at now.

“Having worked with DSP on our current unit on the park we knew we could expect a top-class service from them. They have perfectly captured my vision for the new unit and have pulled out all the stops to ensure we are on track with the build in these challenging times.”
