Move leads to biggest deal yet for Brooklyn Ellis

Design, build and development company Brooklyn Ellis has secured its largest-ever contract following a move to a new headquarters, brokered by Salloway Property Consultants.

The firm, which is now based at the Old Byre, Brailsford Hall, is heading the project to design and build 19 houses at Dairy House in Brailsford.

Director Sarah Naden said:

“The £3m contract will not only secure current jobs at Brooklyn Ellis but also help us to recruit new staff and expand our supply chain during 2020.

She added: “We work with a range of clients, partners and investors and are currently involved with sites from just three dwellings up to 60, including new builds and conversions/refurbishments.”

Brooklyn Ellis previously had a short-term office lease on the outskirts of Derby city centre but with the larger schemes coming online in 2020, wanted to find a more permanent base for the business.

It has signed a three-year deal to let the Old Byre.

Sarah added:

“Working with Salloway Property Consultants, we secured the recently refurbished offices at The Old Byre which gives us a building with plenty of character, a beautiful countryside setting, plenty of courtyard car parking and a great location for both our staff’s commute and our current development sites.”

Stephen Salloway, managing director of Salloway Property Consultants, said:

“I have known Jon and Sarah Naden for many years and was aware of their expansion plans.

“I was delighted that we should find the perfect fit for Brooklyn Ellis at the Old Byre. It is a terrific building in a beautiful part of the world. I am sure that this move will be of huge benefit to the company.

"This is a demonstration of the demand for rural locations as has also been proven by the success of serviced offices at nearby Ednston Park Business Centre where just a handful of suites remain available."
