Bake-off at local recycling firm Casepak raises £1,100 for charity

Leicester-based waste management and recycling firm, Casepak has raised more than £1,100 in aid of charity. 

Casepak’s head office team, based at its Enderby facility, raised £362 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which the Directors rounded up to £500 in total. Members of the team baked a wide variety of cakes for the firm’s recent Macmillan Coffee Morning,  

Meanwhile, team members based at Casepak’s Materials Recycling Facility on Sunningdale Road participated in Breast Cancer Care’s ‘Wear it Pink’ charity day, raising a total sum of £672.00.  

Members of the Casepak team made a wide variety of cakes including Chocolate Brownies, Mint Aero Cheesecake, Pink Choux Buns, Lemon Drizzle cake, Chocolate Tiffin cake, Cupcakes, Crunchy Nut Cluster Chocolate cake and Pink Shortbread to name just a few. 

Vikki Brown, Casepak’s Business Support Executive, said:

“Both our coffee mornings were a huge success and the Casepak team is delighted to have raised such a significant amount to help two very worthwhile charities. We hope that the funds we have raised will go some way to helping more cancer patients access the help and support they require.”
