Base 51 charity hosting awards to celebrate partnership working and Social Value work in the East Midlands.

Base 51, a young people’s charity in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, is hosting the Power In Partnerships Awards.

Taking place at Alea Casino on the Friday 21st March 2025 the awards will shine a light on the amazing work being done by charities, CICs and local business to support vulnerable people in the East Midlands.

Verity Woods, Head of Fundraising, said:

“We’re delighted to be back for a 3rd year with these awards; without partnership work between charities and local businesses there would be a huge gap in the support available for the area’s most vulnerable. These awards highlight the amazing work being done and give people a “thank you” for their efforts – all whilst having a great evening out. We are especially excited about this event as it’ll be the finale event of an transformational week for Base 51, we’ll be sharing more information about that soon!”

Nominations for the awards are open now, and close 31st December. Nomination forms can be found here or on the Base 51 website www.base51.org/events.

Charities and CIC’s can nominate for: Young People’s Champion, Mental Health Champion, Rising Star, Diversity Champion and Volunteer of the Year.

Businesses in the East Midlands that currently work with Base 51 can nominate for Social Value Initiative and Social Value Champion, and for the first time businesses any business can nominate their CSR programmes as well - with nominations for CSR Initiative and CSR Champion.

A previous winner in the Young People’s Champion category, David Bentley from Railway Children, said

“To be nominated was such an honour,  having worked so closely with and for Base 51 many years ago I understand the real work you do to inspire young people. Therefore to proudly have on display a certificate and trophy with my name and Base51 on it, keeps me grounded makes me realise why I do the work I do.”

The event is sponsored by Devello Group and NTU.Sponsorship options start from £300, and tickets are on sale for £65pp with discounts for multiple tickets. www.base51.org/events

All profits from this event support Base 51’s work with 11-25 year olds in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, providing counselling, specialist support, a youth club, a LGBTQIA+ group and a warm haven for young people.
