BELMAYNE COLLECTS DONATIONS FOR HOMELESS

Dronfield-based financial planners, Belmayne, are opening their doors to local residents who would like to help make Christmas a little less bleak for those who sleep on the streets.

The firm is acting as a donation station for homelessness charity, Pathways of Chesterfield, and is inviting people to drop off clothing, food and other items at its Chesterfield Road office.

Donations to be passed onto Pathways must be with Belmayne by Wednesday December 14 and can comprise any of the following:

  • Food that can be prepared with a kettle, such as noodles and Cup-a-Soup
  • Snacks – crisps, cereal bars, biscuits, chocolate, etc.
  • Bottles of water
  • Warm clothing – long-sleeved t-shirts, jumpers, sweatshirts, coats
  • Hats and gloves
  • Rucksacks
  • Sleeping bags
  • Small tents

Belmayne partner, Jon Stevens, said:

“This is the second time we have joined forces with Pathways to assist their winter collection, after a successful campaign last year. The charity provides a valuable service to the homeless in our area and we want to ensure supplies are available for all who need them. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to drop off their donation at our premises during office hours.”

Pathways is also pleased to accept donations at 106 Saltergate, Chesterfield on weekdays between 10am and 3pm. Alternative arrangements can be made by calling the charity on (01246) 498204, or visiting: www.pathwaysofchesterfield.co.uk

Claire Wood, office manager at Pathways of Chesterfield, added:

“We appreciate we have a big wish list, but every single item we receive is put to good use. We are extremely grateful to everyone who donates to our appeal and particularly to Belmayne for their continued support and practical assistance.”
