Robinson partners with Althorpe and Keadby Primary School to teach the importance of sustainability

Robinson – the manufacturer specialising in value-added custom packaging – visited Althorpe and Keadby Primary school to teach children aged 5-11 the importance of sustainability.

The day involved explaining the benefits of packaging, how they can become more sustainable, and what they can do to be good citizens by reducing waste, not littering and doing litter picks.

Laura Donington, Group Marketing Manager at Robinson and STEM Ambassador, said:

“It’s really important to work alongside schools to help children get a good understanding of sustainability and what they can do to have a positive impact on the environment. It was great to see all the children so enthusiastic about the topic and ask many different questions. It was such a fantastic day and we will continue to partner with more schools to help raise awareness and increase action of our future generation.”

A wide range of topics were covered from recycling to re-using packaging and explaining what a carbon footprint is. All the activities were interactive and allowed sustainability to be learnt in an easy and fun way.
