CHILDREN’S HOSPICE BOOSTED BY DONATION FROM AMAZON TEAM

A hospice that supports children and young people in the East Midlands has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Kegworth.

Rainbows hospice is the only hospice for children and young people in the East Midlands. The charity provides vital care and support to families impacted by life-limiting conditions.

Celia Syme, General Manager at Amazon in Kegworth, said:

“It’s a privilege to make this donation to Rainbows, an incredible charity that provides vital care and support to children and their families. We’re pleased to lend a helping hand with this donation.”

Hayley Purser, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser from Rainbows, added:

“On behalf of everyone at Rainbows, I want to say thank you to Celia and the team from Amazon. Donations like this help us continue to provide care for those children and families who need us the most.”

Rainbows received the donation as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.

Community donations are one of a number of ways in which Amazon is supporting communities across the UK during COVID-19.

Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic breakfast and delivering more than four million healthy breakfasts to families around the UK.
