Security specialists win major accolade in recognition of work with Armed Forces

Security solutions provider Octavian Security UK has been awarded Silver Accreditation by the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, one of the most prestigious accolades of its kind in the UK.

The Ministry of Defence-backed scheme is designed to encourage private sector employers to support the Armed Forces and in turn motivate other companies and organisations to follow their example. Silver Award winners must have signed the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC), employ “at least one individual from the AFC category” and “actively ensure that their workforce is aware of their positive policies towards defence people.”

Nottinghamshire-based Octavian has been handed the Silver gong in recognition of its extensive work with the East Midlands Reserve Forces and the wider Armed Forces community, including both Veterans and Cadets and has worked hard to grow from its Bronze Award only last year.

The fast-growing company will be formally presented with the award at the glittering 21 Silver Award Presentation Dinner at the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln on Thursday 14th October.

Octavian Security Managing Director Reshma Sheikh said:

“I am delighted that Octavian has been awarded Silver Accreditation by the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme. It symbolises not just the commitment we have already demonstrated to our Armed Forces, but is a platform for us to continue to build and support our Armed Forces Veterans and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and their families as we seek to grow. I am proud of all our veterans and volunteers that are central to our teams.”
