Learning and Development Culture Drives Continued Professional Success at Wealth Management Group

The RU Group, one of the region’s leading wealth management and financial advice firms, is celebrating the ongoing achievements of its team with a raft of accreditations and accolades from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

The exam successes follow the recent news that for the fifth consecutive year the firm, headquartered in Nottingham with offices in Derby and Sheffield, has again been named “Chartered Financial Planners”, achieving Chartered Status from the CII, the premier professional body for the insurance and financial planning profession.

Three of the team, Independent Financial Adviser Jonathan Nicholls, Paraplanner Joe Staniforth and Premier Elite Team Adviser James Batchelor, have been awarded Fellowship status. Their attainment of this most prestigious level of professional achievement follows the completion of a personalised, structured and advanced professional development programme.

Ian Browne, Head of Advice at The RU Group comments:

“Our ethos at The RU Group is to embed a ‘culture of learning’ into our business and provide the team with the professional development opportunities not only to advance their own careers, but to ensure that we are continually providing the best advice and support to our clients to deliver excellent results. We are therefore delighted to see three more team members achieve Fellowship status.”

Other members of staff have also advanced their professional qualifications, enabling them to progress to the next stage in their studies. These include Financial Planning Administrator Charlie MacNamee who successfully completed a series of exam modules towards his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, with his next focus being ‘Personal Taxation.’

Several members of the administration team have achieved UK Financial Services, Regulation & Ethics accreditation and are now working toward their Certificate in Financial Services. Celebrating their success are Alannah Kinsella, Financial Planning, Marketing and Advice Team Administrator, Rav Jackson, Financial Planning Administrator, Ben Browne, Financial Planning and Operations Administrator, William Ingham, Technology Administrator and SAAS Financial Administrator Updesh Bhogal.

Ian continues:

“On behalf of the Group, I extend my warm congratulations to all those who have achieved these significant exam successes. Not only do they mark a milestone in their individual careers, they are also indicative of the high quality of professional practice in the conduct and management of business within The RU Group. The CII Code of Conduct is something we take very seriously, and our clients appreciate that. Achieving Chartered Status for another year is testament to the team’s sustained commitment to this and we are incredibly proud to have this recognised.”

Chartered status from the CII is an exclusive accolade achieved to date by fewer than 750 of over 5,000 financial advice firms nationwide.

The RU Group has also been named in leading industry publication New Model Adviser’s ‘Top 100 Firms’ and is listed as one of Advisory HQ’s Top 11 ‘Best Independent Financial Advisers’ in the UK.
