Jones Homes secures Help to Buy Funding at developments in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire

Jones Homes has secured Government funding aimed at supporting first-time buyers onto the property ladder.

The housebuilder, which is building at developments across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, has received approval to sell homes with the new version of Help to Buy.

This announcement means that first-time buyers looking to take their first step onto the property ladder will be able to secure a house with the developer with just a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided as an equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years.

First-time buyers in the East Midlands will be able to use the scheme on new properties priced up to £261,900.

Jayne Swift, Sales and Marketing Director for Jones Homes Yorkshire, said:

“We are naturally pleased to have received this funding from the Government so that we can offer this support to first-time buyers across our developments.

“We have already taken several reservations under the scheme and look forward to welcoming these buyers to their new homes from April. There are a selection of homes currently for sale at our developments across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire which are priced below the regional cap and can be purchased with Help to Buy.”

At Gateford Park in Worksop, a selection of three-bedroom semi-detached Baycliffe homes are currently available to purchase, with prices from £229,995.

Buyers will need to act quickly at Simpson Park in Harworth, where there is only one eligible property remaining, The Birch house type, a spacious three-bedroom semi-detached house, priced at £179,995.

First-time buyers interested in purchasing a home at Cavendish Park in Bolsover will be able to secure a three-bedroom Birch with prices from £199,995. More properties that fall under the regional price cap will also be released for sale at the site soon.
