Reduced fares at Albatross for disabled people in Derby

Private hire firm Albatross Cars has joined with a Derby charity to offer special taxi fare rates for disabled people.

The company will provide a 25% discount to Disability Direct’s & Nimbus Disability’s Access Card holders during the two-week festive period and then 20% off fares from January.

Disability Direct’s clients will be given a promotional code which will then be used via the firm’s booking app or by phone.

Albatross Cars has a long record of working with Derbyshire charities and its Chief Executive Officer, Nas Mansha, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Disability Direct. We have a huge fleet of wheelchair accessible taxis which are available throughout Derbyshire.

“Our customers’ safety is our main priority which is why you can book taxis with Safety Screens creating a clear separation between the driver and customer. All our taxis are also fitted with contactless card readers to ensure a safe cashless service – an essential addition to our taxis during the pandemic”

Disability Direct Chief Executive Amo Raju said: “Once again, a local business has come forward with an initiative which will benefit disabled people in the city and beyond, particularly during such challenging times. I’m delighted to be working with Albatross and I’m certain this will be well received by all."

To take advantage of this offer you will need to be an Access Card holder .
