IT specialists Neuways are leading a group of businesses who share the same site on the A50 in the installation of a brand-new defibrillator machine.

Bradgate Park View Business Park, based in Chellaston, Derby, consists of three buildings, Neustro House, Bezant House and Weston House, with the co-owners of each combining forces to make the investment.

The installation of the defibrillator was recently carried out at the business park and is the latest commitment to employee safety for over 200 office workers based there, as well as the local community.

Neuways Managing Director and co-owner of Neustro House, Martin Roberts, is proud to have forged the way with the installation: “It is fantastic to see the defibrillator installed at Bradgate Park View Business Park.

“While the COVID-19 pandemic has forced many businesses to reconsider their working practices, it has also forced us to consider the health implications for all of the employees working on the business park.

“We know that some businesses remain working on-site, and with the pandemic causing potentially serious, long-lasting health implications, it is important we do what we can.

“It is a priority to us that we take every precaution where possible to keep our teams safe at work, as protecting our community is a huge priority for us.”

James Hornby, Operational Support Manager at East Midlands Ambulance Service, said:

“We are really pleased to hear that Bradgate Park View Business Park have installed a defibrillator at their site with the support of businesses based there.

“Using a defibrillator on a person experiencing cardiac arrest as soon as possible gives the best chance of survival. East Midlands Ambulance Service actively encourage the placement of Public Access Defibrillators by organisations, businesses and communities.

“The more readily available defibrillators are alongside people willing to act in an emergency will undoubtedly lead to improved survival rates for patients suffering out of hospital cardiac arrests.”

Mike Osborne, owner of Bezant House, said:

“We all at MOP Holdings Ltd together with our tenant are pleased to be part of the funding of the defibrillator and trust it will help anyone and everyone to ‘stay safe’.”
