Leicester IT Company Launches Initiative to Support Local Charity Amidst Covid-19 Crisis

With more people having to work from home due to COVID-19, Better-IT has announced that it will be donating a proportion of its fees to Leicester-based Charity Link, when transitioning new businesses to its remote working package.

In a time where it is more important than ever for businesses to enable their teams to work safely and effectively from home, Better-IT has come up with a solution not only to do this, but to support a local charity at the same time.

Any time a new business signs up to its Home Working service, a donation of 50% of the set-up charge will be donated to Charity Link, a charity which provides food, clothing and other essential items to people in need throughout Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire. A further 25% of the monthly fee will be donated in addition, meaning this could make a huge difference to the vulnerable people Charity Link supports, when it’s needed the most.

In addition, the team at Better-IT are offering every UK company complimentary access to its online training portal for 30 days. This consists of a series of short videos, with a section specifically dedicated to working from home which incorporates guidance on how to work collaboratively and effectively, whilst also looking after your mental health.

David Nicholls, Managing Director at Better-IT, said:

“We are incredibly proud to have found a way to support a local charity whilst also continuing to provide our services to businesses across the UK. It’s an incredibly challenging time for all of us, but we recognise the importance of spreading some positivity and helping wherever we can. Access to the complimentary training is another way in which we are aiming to do this.”

Susan McEniff, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Charity Link, commented:

“Everyone at Charity Link is hugely grateful to Dave and the team for not only setting up this fantastic initiative, but for enabling us all to work remotely as well. This means that we are able to keep our services running at this critical time and the money raised will help provide essentials, such as food, to local people in need.”
