Barratt and David Wilson Homes raises over 40k for Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Leading homebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes has raised over £40k for its chosen charity of the year, Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The money raised by staff will go towards working to a brighter future for everyone with Cystic Fibrosis by funding cutting edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.

Cystic Fibrosis is a life limiting condition that makes it difficult to breathe, causes vulnerability to infection and restricts the ability to fulfil one’s ambitions.

Medications, physiotherapy and general health all have to be taken into account when planning the simplest activity, and being unwell frequently interferes with work and education.

Jacqueline Rogers, Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager at Cystic Fibrosis Trust, said:

“Employees of Barratt and David Wilson Homes literally threw themselves, via a sponsored Skydive, into the partnership!  It was an absolute pleasure to work with them and assist with their fantastic fundraising. They can be safe in the knowledge that they have made a difference in the lives of people with cystic fibrosis – thank you!”

John Dillon, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said:

“We are delighted to announce that we have managed to raise over £40,000 for our charity of the year, Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

“As a leading housebuilder, we understand the importance of supporting charities and communities and strive to give back wherever we can. It is a pleasure to be able to support the vital work being carried out by the charity and the work that they do is very admirable.

“Cystic Fibrosis Trust was chosen as our charity of the year in January 2019 and since then our employees have been working to raise funds for the cause with events and corporate days out.”

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust offers a range of support for those living with cystic fibrosis and those affected. This includes a telephone helpline, financial support, information resources, options to connect with others and travel information.
