Young footballers in Worksop show off brand new kit

Young players at Worksop United Juniors FC are now wearing stylish new kit, thanks to sponsorship from local housebuilder Jones Homes.

Jones Homes, which is building new homes at Gateford Park, off Churchill Way, has shown its support for the club’s U14s team by sponsoring their home kit for the current season.

Worksop United Juniors provides football training for children of all ages and abilities by FA qualified coaches.

Dave Storey, Club Chairman and manager of the U14s, said:

“Worksop United Juniors FC was established only two years ago and has quickly developed into a club of four teams with approximately 50 young players from our community, ranging from eight to 14 years of age.

“Our under 14s would like to sincerely thank Jones Homes for providing us with a lovely new full home kit. This support helps us to keep the club growing and providing a safe and enjoyable environment for youngsters to play football in our local community whilst showing them the values of working as part of a team and providing a great social aspect at the same time.”

Jayne Swift, Sales and Marketing Director at Jones Homes Yorkshire, said:

“Worksop United Juniors is a great club, encouraging children to remain active by playing football.

“It’s fantastic to be able to show our support to the club this year by providing the full home kit sponsorship for the U14s team.

“Donations like these are a wonderful way for us to help and support the local community, something we strive to do in and around all of our developments.

“We wish all of the teams at Worksop United Juniors the best of luck throughout the rest of the season.”

The housebuilder is currently building a range of four and five-bedroom homes at its Gateford Park development, off Churchill Way, in the town.
