Michon Complete Free Campaign for Cerebral Palsy Charity

A Nottingham-based full service creative agency has given a national cerebral palsy charity’s campaign a fresh new look, as part of its CSR programme on a pro bono basis.

Michon was asked by Cerebral Palsy Sport (CP Sport) to develop a look for its Get Set Raise campaign and completed the project without charge, to ensure that more of the charity’s money could be used to support its work.

Required to work both online and through offline media, the CP Sport campaign needed to raise aspirations, promote inclusion and support people with cerebral to play, participate and enjoy sport and active recreation across the UK.

Michon started by developing a stand-alone visual identity for the campaign, using a ‘stamp’ device with the phrase “Get Set Raise” that complements CP Sport’s existing branding and works well across printed materials, social media channels and online.

The new look and feel of the campaign was then used to develop a downloadable toolkit that includes a fundraising guide, a sponsorship form, and a range of posters and templates for fundraisers to customise and print off.

In conjunction with Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month in March, CP Sport’s Get Set Raise initiative will help them to reach a £10k fundraising target.

Tony Michon, Creative Director at Michon, said:

“CP Sport approached us because they had seen our work with Rainbows Children’s Hospice, and recognised our strong experience in the charity sector.

“A number of us here are passionate about sport, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to use our design and marketing skills to promote this worthwhile cause.”

Shaun Hallam, Business Development and Fundraising Manager from CP Sport, said that the charity can already see how the campaign will help them achieve their target.

“The Get Set Raise stamp is very easy to use alongside our existing brand identity, and it works particularly well on our social media sites, which are so important when promoting our fundraising activities.

“The target we have set ourselves is particularly ambitious this year, but with this new campaign identity in place, we have every confidence that we will succeed in reaching it.”

CP Sport is the country’s leading national disability sports organisation for people with cerebral palsy. The charity provides disability sports, such as football, swimming, athletics, bowls, table cricket and adapted sports. It also provides specialist support on how to adapt sports for people with cerebral palsy.
