BUSTLER MARKET CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL FIRST MONTH AFTER REOPENING

Following its recent reopening last month after relocating to its new home on Siddals Road, Derby’s biggest street food specialist, Bustler Market, celebrated its first month back with a special VIP evening, of street food, live DJs and cocktails.

Since the popular eatery opened the doors to its new-look space in May, it has welcomed a total of 19,000 guests who have put away over 45,000 meals from its rotating roster of world street food vendors each weekend. The team has welcomed over 40 different traders since lockdown lifted. Experts in Middle Eastern seared meats, The Kebab Cartel, topped the ranks as a firm favourite for Bustler fans, with punters munching down a whopping 8,000 of their signature shawarma bowls.

To keep up with demand, Bustler Market’s team has grown from 15 to over 50 over the past four weeks, with a view to increasing it further over the coming months.

But, it’s not just food lovers that have been getting a piece of the Bustler action. With thousands of pints sold, Bustler has been crowned as the number one seller for Freedom beer in the country. The month has also seen the street food company donate 10p from each pint sold of Jubel, to charity, Derby Food 4 Thought, with over £500 raised to help it support people across Derby who are experiencing food poverty.

Commenting on their recent successes, Bustler Market managing director, Olivia Pritchard said:

“It’s been such a fantastic first month and we’re so pleased with how well the new site has been received. Seeing so many friendly faces arrive through our doors each weekend never fails to make us smile and hearing how much everyone enjoys the venue myself and the team have worked so hard on, is the real icing on the cake. We’re proud to be able to work with such a fantastic range of vendors, and it’s through our partnership with them that we’ve been able to create something truly special each weekend.”

“Over the coming weeks we have even more for our visitors to look forward to, from the opening of our karaoke and arcade rooms when lockdown restrictions lift in July, to the chance to watch the Euros with us on our big screens. There’s lots to be excited for this summer, and we can’t wait to welcome even more visitors through our doors.”
