No.1 Great Central Square offices set for early completion

The completion date for the office element of the exciting mixed-use development, Great Central Square, has been brought forward to July 2019, helping to meet occupier demand and deliver much needed new build office space in Leicester city centre.
The striking No.1 Great Central Square building offers up to 33,000sq.ft of Grade A offices next to two newly constructed hotels and public realm areas. The listed Great Central Railway Station will also be brought back to its former glory and converted into retail/leisure space. The prime city centre location benefits from the creation of a brand new ‘super pedestrian crossing’ significantly enhancing links to the city centre and the neighbouring Highcross shopping centre.

The Great Central Square scheme will also feature two major hotels. The new Novotel will have 154 bedrooms, including executive rooms and suites, a gym, banqueting facilities, meeting rooms and a ground floor feature bar and restaurant. The six-storey Aparthotel Adagio will offer 95 studio/one bed apartments.
Leicester is a prime location for regeneration of this type due to increased demand in both business and tourism sectors. The city, which is at the heart of the Midlands Engine, boasts attractions such as Leicester cathedral, Leicester City Football Club, the National Space Centre, and the King Richard III Visitor Centre, which has become a major international attraction.
