Solmar Villas repeat best ever British Travel Awards haul

A Midlands provider of hand-picked villas has proved it is the best in its field by securing five major titles at the British Travel Awards.

Solmar Villas, which celebrates its 25th birthday this year, impressed consumers with the quality and variety of its accommodation, its levels of personal service and growing range of holiday destinations.

The company was named as the Winner of the Best Holiday Company to the Iberian Peninsula (Gold), whilst also picking up silver accolades covering East/South East Europe and Central & Northern Europe.

It was also recognised with Bronze Awards for its offer in the Italian Peninsula and as the Best Villa Holiday Company.

The announcement was made at a glamorous Gala Awards ceremony held in London and attended by more than 800 guests from the travel sector.

“This repeats our best ever performance at the British Travel Awards, matching the five titles we won in 2018,” explained Julie Blake, Managing Director of Solmar Villas.

“We are absolutely thrilled to secure so many accolades, especially given they are voted for by consumers who have experienced our villas and enjoyed the holidays and memories we are helping them to create. It’s a real testimony to the hard work and dedication of our staff.”

“The last twelve months have seen a 15% rise in the number of bookings we have taken and our team of researchers have been out visiting numerous properties to increase our villas to 600 exclusive properties across the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, Italy, mainland Spain, Malta, Portugal and Turkey.

“We will use the British Travel Awards to support our continued growth and strategic aim of becoming the UK’s leading provider of hand-picked villas.”

British Travel Awards’ Chief Executive Lorraine Barnes Burton added her support:
