Northampton success story Pro Tiler Tools named finalist for BIG Business of the Year

Northampton-based Pro Tiler Tools has added another major accolade to an exceptional year after being named a finalist in the 2026 Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards.
The specialist tiling supplier, which operates from a 140,000 sq ft headquarters and distribution centre at Prologis Park Pineham, has been shortlisted for ‘BIG Business of the Year’ at the prestigious county awards.
The latest recognition brings Pro Tiler Tools’ tally to six finalist positions across four regional and national business awards programmes in 2026, following a period of significant growth and investment.
Founded in Northamptonshire in 2008 by professional tiler Andy Bucknall and his wife Wendy, Pro Tiler Tools has grown from a 1,000 sq ft operation into one of the UK’s leading specialist suppliers of tiling tools, materials and equipment.
Despite its national growth, the business has remained firmly rooted in Northamptonshire. Its Pineham headquarters incorporates a trade counter giving tilers and tradespeople from Northampton and surrounding towns direct access to specialist products and expertise, with its location close to the M1 also providing easy access from across the region.

The Northamptonshire recognition follows five other finalist positions announced earlier this year including: Business Innovation and Business of the Year (More than 50 Employees) at the SME National Business Awards; High Growth Business of the Year at the Northamptonshire Business Awards; and Growing Business of the Year: Turnover £25m–£50m and Growing Business of the Year: Midlands at the national Growing Business Awards.
The company’s growth has been supported by investment in warehouse technology, digital infrastructure and product development, alongside expansion of its own-brand PREMTOOL range. Its operations now handle more than 200,000 parcel orders annually, supported by a 9pm next-day dispatch service.
The Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards have celebrated businesses across the county since 2018 and the 2026 winners will be announced at the Cinch County Ground, Northampton, on Friday 27 November.
