New Trustee Adriana Murray brings passion for homelessness support to The Bridge Homelessness to Hope

Leicester-based homeless charity, The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, has appointed Adriana Murray to its Board of Trustees. Adriana will bring experience and expertise in both human resources and community outreach to her new position at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope.
Adriana also directs the HR Operations function at Priory, one of the UK's leading providers of mental health services. In this role, she oversees colleague engagement and wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and every stage of the employee lifecycle, helping the organisation to navigate complex people challenges with integrity and professionalism.
Although based in South Yorkshire, Adriana regularly travels to Leicester to visit friends and family, as well as local Priory care homes and the organisation's first of its new nurse-led community services in Melton Mowbray.
For Adriana, supporting people experiencing homelessness is deeply personal.
"Homelessness speaks directly to me," she said. "Throughout my life and through my faith, I've always felt called to support those who are facing difficult circumstances."
Before joining The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, Adriana established the 'Love Lifted Me' homeless feeding programme through her local Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sheffield, where she served as Head of Community Services. The initiative brought together volunteers to provide food, companionship and practical support to people experiencing homelessness across the city.
Meeting one or two times each month, the team worked not only to provide meals but also to build meaningful relationships with those they supported. Adriana also encouraged churches from different denominations to become involved, helping to create a wider network of support within the community.
The programme continues to operate today, something Adriana says demonstrates the importance of long-term commitment and compassion.
"It showed me why this work matters. It's about much more than providing food - it's about building trust, restoring dignity and showing people that they are not alone."
Adriana's connection with The Bridge Homelessness to Hope began through a fellow trustee whom she knew through her church community. Having previously offered advice and guidance to the charity, joining the Board felt like a natural next step.
"Supporting The Bridge Homelessness to Hope means supporting an incredibly important cause. The work the charity does has a real impact on people's lives and I'm looking forward to contributing in any way that I can. I'm excited to be part of an organisation that shares those values, and is committed to helping people to rebuild their lives and look towards a brighter future."
