Homelessness support charity receives £3,000 donation from Northampton Homebuilder

Encompass, a charity that offers support to those facing food poverty, addiction and homelessness around Northamptonshire, has received a £3,000 donation from leading homebuilder David Wilson Homes.
Established in 2005, the charity operates three foodbanks, three support accommodations and one rehabilitation centre.
The donation will help Encompass continue its work providing practical assistance, advice, and accommodation support to people in crisis.
Georgina Henson, Homeless Services Manager at Encompass, said: “We were very excited to have been chosen to receive this donation from David Wilson Homes. This money means we can help people move on to independent living and help provide household items. We can support people to get to medical appointments, offer a warm safe space for those in need and supply our community café, as well as so much more.
“A new homelessness strategy is looking at prevention rather than acting on crisis and donations like this one from David Wilson Homes will help people not to lose tenancies.
“On behalf of everyone at Encompass, I would like to offer David Wilson Homes our most sincere thank you. To support small local charities like ours makes so much difference and I wish more companies would do the same.”
David Wilson Homes’ contribution was made as part of its Community Fund scheme via The Barratt Redrow Foundation, which is run by its parent company, Barratt Redrow. It is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder operates.
The Barratt Redrow Foundation is celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2026. Since its launch, it has committed £20 million to charities and good causes, supported over 2,000 different charities and is estimated to have directly impacted 100,000 young people each year.
