The extension reinforces Silverstone's position not only as the home of MotoGP in the UK, but also as a globally recognised venue capable of hosting the world's most prestigious and competitive two-wheel racing.
MotoGP continues to be one of the most thrilling and widely watched motorcycle racing championships in the world, making Silverstone the UK's premier destination for fans to experience the drama, speed and excitement of elite two-wheel competition.
While MotoGP remains the jewel in Silverstone's two-wheel calendar, the circuit has also firmly established itself as one of the world's leading motorsport venues. Alongside MotoGP, Silverstone hosts Formula 1, the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) from 2027, the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), as well as a range of popular events including the BRDC Classic, the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), CarFest and Christmas at Silverstone.
Stuart Pringle, CEO, Silverstone, said:
"This extension underscores our commitment to two-wheel racing. It's not just about signing a contract; it's about reaffirming our vision. Silverstone has proven its capability to host the pinnacle of global motorsport—from MotoGP to Formula 1 and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
"This renewed partnership secures our place as the UK's undisputed home of elite international racing. Extending our relationship is confirmation of our shared commitment to delivering the ultimate high-speed experience for fans here in Britain."
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP Group, adds:
"The UK has a rich motorcycle racing heritage and remains one of the most important markets for MotoGP. Since returning to Silverstone in 2015, we have built a strong partnership and together delivered some unforgettable British Grand Prix weekends.
"Silverstone provides a fantastic stage for MotoGP, eleven different winners in the last eleven Grands Prix hosted at the circuit is a testament to the quality, competitiveness and unpredictability of racing at the circuit.
"This extension gives us the opportunity to keep investing in the event, strengthen our presence in the UK and create even more value for our fans, teams, partners and promoters over the coming years."
As anticipation builds for this year's British Grand Prix MotoGP, fans can look forward to another spectacular weekend of world-class racing as the championship's biggest stars battle for crucial points. Thanks to this new agreement, they can also look forward to many more unforgettable MotoGP moments at Silverstone over the next two years.
The next event is expected to take place in August 2027, with further details announced in due course.
