Grand Opening: Birds Bakery announces new store at Clay Cross

Birds Bakery has revealed that it will be opening a new store in North East Derbyshire’s Clay Cross in August.
The new store will be Birds’ first industrial estate location, with a bespoke design created to make the most of the space while bringing the much-loved Birds experience to a new setting. It is currently being renovated ahead of opening its doors to customers on Thursday 27th August.
For this store, Birds has partnered with RAW Workshop, a social enterprise dedicated to the circular economy. RAW Workshop reuses furniture to create bespoke pieces and has designed the seating area for the store, which consists of picnic benches and more traditional tables and chairs. The space is set to incorporate the brand’s new branding that includes a spring green and teal colour palette.
As always, the counter will be the focal point of the shop, serving all of the usual Birds favourites, from Sausage and Stuffing Cobs to Elephant’s Feet, all handcrafted using fresh and local ingredients.
The new branch will cater for customers looking for a quick breakfast or lunch on the go, as well as those wanting to sit in and enjoy their favourite Birds treats. Located close to local businesses and a nearby housing development, the store has been designed to serve the needs of the wider Clay Cross community.

"We've adapted the design of the store to suit the location, creating a space that's ideal whether you're popping in on your way to work, grabbing lunch or meeting friends for a coffee. We can't wait to welcome our first customers when we open the doors in August."
Birds Bakery’s Clay Cross store is located at 2a Oakleaf Close, Egstow View Business Park, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, S45 9AG. The store is open Monday to Saturday from 7.30am-5pm and Sunday from 9-4pm.
