Nottingham College Unveils New LOOM Hair and Beauty Salon at Historic Adams Building

Students and the public to benefit from state-of-the-art training salon to open ready for new school year.
Nottingham College is proud to announce the launch of LOOM Hair and Beauty, a brand-new, industry-standard training salon located at its Adams Building campus in the city’s vibrant Lace Market, expected to open this September.
The new facility marks the relocation of the college’s long-standing commercial salon from Wheeler Gate into a modern, purpose-designed space at the heart of the campus. The move forms part of Nottingham College’s ongoing investment in high-quality, career-focused learning environments.
LOOM Hair and Beauty, named in tribute to the Adams Building's heritage as a former lace mill, has been designed to reflect the high standards of today's leading salons. Featuring contemporary styling stations, modern equipment and premium products, the salon provides students with an inspiring, professional environment in which to develop their skills. By offering valuable hands-on experience in a realistic salon setting, it will help prepare learners for employment or further study.
The relocation also enhances accessibility for students and staff by bringing hair and beauty provision on campus, creating a more integrated and aspirational learning experience.
Students enrolling this year will be among the first to train in LOOM, with a unique opportunity to help shape the culture and reputation of the new salon from day one.
