William Davis appoints first COO

William Davis Homes has made a key appointment in its leadership team with the creation of a new chief operating officer role to help lead the housebuilder’s growth plans.
Dan Endersby has joined the Loughborough-based developer after six years as managing director of Persimmon North Midlands.
The newly-created role provides greater strength to the William Davis team and the platform to deliver on its growth plans across both the East and West Midlands, as the developer continues to explore new land opportunities throughout the region.
Dan said:
“I’m naturally very pleased to have joined the team at William Davis, who I've admired from afar to this point, working within the industry and treading a similar path in terms of geography of both existing sites and areas of focus.
“It’s a very proud moment for me to take on the role as chief operating officer at William Davis, a newly-created position and one which will give us real strength to build together as a team for the long-term future and success of the business.
“There’s plenty of work for us to get started with, and I'm really looking forward to working closely with the teams across our East and West Midlands offices, to ultimately drive results for William Davis.”
Endersby’s career in construction and housebuilding began in the trades as a civil engineer, before working towards roles as technical director and managing director prior to his appointment by William Davis.
Dan added:
“My background is site-focused as a civil engineer by trade, so I have a good technical understanding of the construction industry, before spending my recent years as a managing director.
“I really enjoy seeing a site go from a piece of underutilised land to a brand new community, bringing heart to an area and creating something from start to finish which means something to people, and delivering a product we can be proud of.”
As part of his new role, Endersby will work closely with William Davis’ existing board of directors.
