Asbestos experts join forces

A Northampton asbestos consultancy, which boasts household names such as The Ministry of Defence, Nationwide, BUPA and Sainsburys as clients, has teamed up with Desborough-based asbestos removal firm Specialist Remediation Solutions (SRS).
Asbestos Northampton, based in Little Billing, is renowned for its specialist knowledge of asbestos surveys and non-licensed removals, but for a recent job in Brampton, director Paul Carroll needed more complex expertise for a house requiring licenced asbestos removal.
The difference between licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal depends on the risk level of the material and how easily it releases airborne fibres. High-risk, easily crumbling materials must be handled by an HSE-licensed contractor, while lower-risk, tightly bound materials require trained professionals, but they don’t need to be licensed.
So, Paul enlisted the help of SRS managing director, Stephen Booth, finding him on social media platform LinkedIn after he was recommended by an acquaintance as being trustworthy, knowledgeable and reasonably priced.
Director Paul Carroll said:
