Local Defence Firm Triumph in Paris

Tyron Runflat, based at Castle Business Park, Loughborough, triumphed at Eurosatory 2026, the leading exhibition for security and defence held in Paris, launching a revolutionary new product.
The latest new product, a carbon wheel safety system, has been specifically manufactured for the defence industry – within the first day of the specialist defence exhibition Tyron secured new enquiries from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Attracting the attention of manufacturers, startups and leading experts from across the defence industry, over 2,000 exhibitors from 61 countries united creating the most ambitious in the event’s history.

“Having attended this biennial exhibition for more than 20 years, we specifically chose Eurosatory to be the backdrop of our launch. Offering a global stage with some of the most influential individuals from across the defence industry, we received very strong interest from several major potential customers, showing the investment to date has been worthwhile.
“It’s a pivotal time for the defence industry as funding remains stretched and geopolitical unrest is widespread. Modern warfare is being shaped by new innovations and technological demands, highlighting the critical need for product investment. Unveiling the Carbon Composite Wheel, Tyron’s latest tyre safety solution offers up to 500kg gross weight saving for defence vehicles when compared with traditional steel wheels.
