Hales Group Expands Staff Recognition Programme After Awarding Nearly £100,000 to Care Professionals

Hales Group has announced the expansion of its staff recognition programme, building on the success of Hales Heroes, which has recognised thousands of care professionals and awarded almost £100,000 in prizes since launching in 2017. 

Created to celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond, Hales Heroes has become a cornerstone of the organisation’s culture, spotlighting the dedication, compassion and commitment shown by care teams across Hales’ branch network. 

The programme is now being enhanced with the introduction of the Hales Group Awards, transforming the long-running monthly initiative into a group-wide annual celebration. The new awards will recognise outstanding individuals and teams across all areas of the business, including Hales Homecare and Hales Jobs.

Designed to spotlight those who truly go above and beyond, the awards will include categories such as Frontline Care or Support Worker of the Year, recognising those who consistently deliver outstanding, person-centred care and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism; Leader of the Year, celebrating individuals who inspire and motivate their teams, drive innovation and support the development of others; and Rising Star of the Year, highlighting emerging talent who make an immediate impact through fresh thinking, strong collaboration and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Together, these awards will celebrate colleagues who live the organisation’s core values - Help, Advice, Listen, Encourage and Support - whether delivering exceptional care in people’s homes, supporting candidates into employment, or strengthening teams behind the scenes.

Hales has received more than 400 nominations from colleagues, clients and service users, recognising individuals and teams who make a meaningful difference and truly embody the organisation’s values. All entries are now being carefully reviewed by an independent panel of judges, with finalists set to be announced in May.

By expanding its recognition programme, Hales Group continues to invest in its people and strengthen a culture where commitment, compassion and achievement are celebrated every day.
