The firm are supporting the charity’s Digital Inclusion Project — a programme specifically designed to help digitally excluded people across Nottingham, particularly those affected by homelessness, complex needs, or long‑term unemployment.
Framework’s Digital Inclusion Project provides free devices, data SIMs, and essential digital skills support to help people access key services such as Universal Credit, online banking, healthcare apps, employment platforms, and more — reducing barriers caused by digital poverty.
The devices donated by Actons will be refurbished and used directly by people who need them most, helping them stay connected, apply for housing and jobs, and build independence.
This is the first in a series of initiatives Actons will launch throughout 2026 to support Framework, boosting a partnership that goes back 25 years.
Matt Coleman, Director & COO at Actons, said:
“We’re really proud to continue supporting Framework. Their Digital Inclusion Project is doing great work to close the digital gap, and donating our old laptops and iPhones is a simple, meaningful way we can help people stay connected and access opportunities.”
Claire Eden, Head of Fundraising & Communications at Framework added:
“We are deeply grateful to Actons for 25 years of dedicated support. Donations such as phones, chargers and laptops may appear small, but for the people we support they can be genuinely life‑changing. Digital inclusion is essential for independent living, enabling individuals to stay connected, rebuild relationships and take steps towards stability. We look forward to continuing our longstanding partnership with Actons.”
Actons Charity of the Year initiative forms part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands.
